Blessings God Promises Believers


There are about 7000 promises in the Bible, I am told. I can not verify this! But I have picked up 64 and arranged them under seven titles.  These, I hope covers all conceivable human situations and will be useful for personal comfort or for teaching. 
         

i.God’s Holiness

  1. Romans 5:10-11  Even when we were God’s enemies, he made peace with us, because his Son died for us. We are at peace with God, we will be saved by his Son’s life. We are happy because God sent our Lord Jesus Christ to make peace with us.
  2. James 1:12 God will bless you, if you don’t give up when your faith is being tested. He will reward you with a glorious life, just as he rewards everyone who loves him.
  3. Colossians 1:27 Christ lives in you and he is your hope of sharing in God’s glory.
  4. Proverbs  28:14 The Lord blesses everyone who is afraid to do evil.
  5. John 1:12  Whoever believed in Him were given the right to become God’s children.
  6. John 3:15 ……everyone who believes in him may have eternal life.
  7. Titus 1:2    I encourage God’s own people to have more faith and to understand the truth about our faith. 2 Then they will have the hope of eternal life that God promised long ago. And God never tells a lie!
  8. Hebrews  10:10  Because Jesus Christ did what God wanted him to do, we are all purified from sin by the offering that he made of his own body once and for all.
  9. Romans 5:2 Christ has also introduced us  to God’s undeserved kindness on which we take our stand.
  10. 1 Peter 1:7  Your faith will be like gold that has been tested in a fire. And these trials will prove that your faith is worth much more than gold that can be destroyed. They will show that you will be given praise and honor and glory when Jesus Christ returns.
  11. 2 Timothy  2:3-7 As a good soldier of Christ Jesus you must endure your share of suffering. Soldiers on duty try only to please their commanding officer. If you keep in mind what I have told you, the Lord will help you understand completely.
  12. Deuteronomy  7:6   You are the chosen people of the Lord your God
  13. Deuteronomy  7:8   The LORD loved you and wanted to keep the promise that he made to your ancestors. That is why he saved you.

II.Health Benefits

1. Exodus  15:26  I am the LORD, the one who heals you.
2. Deuteronomy 7:15 The LORD will protect you from all sickness
  1. Exodus  23:25  If you worship me, the LORD your God, I will bless you with food and water and take away all your sicknesses.
  2. Isaiah 53:5 We are healed by His wounds
  3. 3 John 2    I pray that all goes well for you. I hope that you are as strong in body, as I know you are in spirit.

III. Financial Security

  1. Deuteronomy  7:13  He will love you and bless you, so that you will increase in number and have many children; he will bless your fields, so that you will have grain, wine, and olive oil; and he will bless you by giving you many cattle and sheep. He will give you all these blessings in the land.
  2. Joshua  1:3      I have given you and all my people the entire land your feet touch.
  3. 2 Peter 1:3-4 We have everything we need to live a life that pleases God. It was all given to us by God’s own power; 4 God made great and marvelous promises
  4. Deuteronomy  8:18 Remember that the Lord your God gives you the strength to make a living.
  5. Phillip.  4:19 God will take care of all your needs with the wonderful blessings that come from Christ Jesus!
  6. Isaiah 54:3 God will take care of all your needs with the wonderful blessings that come from Christ Jesus!
  7. Deuteronomy  26:19 He will make you greater than any other nation that he has created, and you will bring praise and honor to his name. You will be his own people
  8. Psalms  1:3 They are like trees growing beside a stream, trees that produce fruit in season and always have leaves. Those people succeed in everything they do.
  9. 2 Corinthians 9:10,11  And God, who supplies seed for the sower and bread to eat, will also supply you with all the seed you need and will make it grow and produce a rich harvest from your generosity. 11  He will always make you rich enough to be generous at all times, so that many will thank God for your gifts.

IV. Family

  1. Deuteronomy  7:13 He will love you and bless you, so that you will increase in number and have many children; he will bless your fields, so that you will have grain, wine, and olive oil; and he will bless you by giving you many cattle and sheep. He will give you all these blessings in the land.
  2. Isaiah  22:23  I will fasten him firmly in place like a peg, and he will be a source of honor to his whole family.
  3. Jeremiah  30:18  The LORD says, “I will restore my people to their land and have mercy on every family; Jerusalem will be rebuilt, and its palace restored.
  4. Matthew  19:14  Let the little children come unto me and forbid them not. The kingdom of heaven is theirs.
  5. Acts 2:38 Turn back to God! Be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ, so that your sins will be forgiven. Then you will be given the Holy Spirit.  This promise is for you and your children.
  6. Romans 8:16-17 God’s Spirit makes us sure that we are his children. His Spirit lets us know that together with Christ we will be given what God has promised. We will also share in the glory of Christ, because we have suffered with him.
  7. Deuteronomy 28:11 The Lord will give you abundant prosperity – the fruit of your womb, the young of your livestock and the crop of your land.
  8. Deuteronomy 5:8….showing love to a thousand generations of those who love Me and keep My commandments…

V. Covenant and Grace  

  1. Jeremiah 31:33  Here is the new agreement : “I will write my laws on their hearts and minds. I will be their God, and they will be my people”
  2. Deu 7:9 He will keep his covenant and show his constantlove to a thousand generations of those wholove him and obey his commands.
  3. …God will continue to keep his covenant with you and will show you his constant love…
  4. Hebrews 7:22   Jesus guarantees us a better agreement with God. 23 There have been a lot of other priests, and all of them have died. 24 But Jesus will never die, and so he will be a priest forever! 25 He is forever able to save  the people he leads to God, because he always lives to speak to God for them.

VI. God’s Love

  1. Exodus  20:6 … I show my love to thousands of generations of those who love me and obey my laws.
  2. Colossians 2:2 As their hearts are joined together inlove, they will be wonderfully blessed.
  3. Romans 8:37 In everything we have won more than a victory because of Christ who loves us. Nothing can separate us from God’s love.
  4. Romans 5:5 And hope makes not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.
  5. 1 Corinthians 2:9 … No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him.
  6. 1 John 4:18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love castes out fear: because fear hath torment. He that fears is not made perfect in love.
  7. Isaiah  38:17 You have delivered it from the pit of corruption and  cast all my sins behind thy back.
  8. Isaiah 43:4 Since you are precious and honored in my sight, and because I love you, I will give people in exchange for you, nations in exchange for your life.
  9. Jeremiah  31:3 I have loved you  with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn you.
 VII. Christ  Says  ‘Yes’  To  All  God’s  Promises
(Corinthians 1:20)

  1. 1 Peter  5:4 When Christ the Chief Shepherd returns, you will be given a crown that will never lose its glory.
  2. Romans 15:8  Christ came as a servant of the Jews to show that God has kept the promises he made to their famous ancestors.
  3. 2 Peter 1:41 God made great and marvelous promises, so that his nature would become part of us. Then we could escape our evil desires from the corrupt influences of this world.
  4. Acts 13:32  God made a promise to our ancestors. And we are here to tell you the good news 33 that he has kept this promise to us.
  5. Acts 10:43  God told us to announce clearly to the people that Jesus is the one he has chosen to judge the living and the dead. 43 Every one of the prophets has said that all who have faith in Jesus will have their sins forgiven in his name.
  6. Philippians 3:14  I run toward the goal, so that I can win the prize of being called to heaven. This is the prize that God offers because of what Christ Jesus has done.
  7. Deuteronomy  30:3 The LORD your God will have mercy on you.
  8. Luke 24:47  I will send you the one my Father has promised, the  Holy Spirit

  15. Matthew  11:28 Come to me, all of you who are tired from carrying heavy loads, and I will give you rest
  16. 2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slow to do what he has promised, as some think. Instead he is patient with you, because he does not want anyone to be destroyed, but wants all to turn away from their sins.
  17. Matthew  28.20 And I will be with you always, to the end of the age.
  18. John 14:18  When I go, you will not be left all alone; I will come back to you
  19. John 15:4  Remain united to me, and I will remain united to you
  20. John 15:7  If you remain in me and my words remain in you, then you will ask for anything you wish, and you shall have it.
                     
Exodus  23:22 

But if you are careful to obey him, following all my instructions, then I will be an enemy to your enemies, and I will oppose those who oppose you.
